I can't think of a funnier look on a man than a shirt with socks and no pants. Just picture it. Even the most attractive man can NOT pull this look off. The thought actually makes me laugh out loud. That's because men are meant to either be fully clothed or totally naked. There is definitely no attractive in-between. Women on the other hand can pretty much make any look work...and not only make it work, but rock the heck out of it and make it sexy. Of course that is only if you want to make it look sexy. Women have a plethora of options to dress for the look they want to portray. There is cute-comfy for your boyfriend, sexy-comfy for a second date, straight up hot if you're on the prowl, schlubby sit-at-home-and-watch-american-idol-while-eating-ice cream if your exhausted comfy...you get the idea. Our options are infinite.

What amazes me is that we have an innate ability to make one simple article of men's clothing go from board room appropriate to bedroom fabulous. A plain old men's dress shirt is considered one of the sexiest "outfits" when worn by a woman. I've talked to a bunch of male friends, read the magazine polls, and had my own experiences (which I will not elaborate on,) and the majority of men would say one of the sexiest things to see on a woman is his plain old button down shirt. Think about all the effort you put into getting dolled up with the heels, the make-up, the oxygen-limiting tight dress...when all he's really looking forward to is the next morning when you wake up and put on his shirt from the night before.

Lucky for us, many designers have caught on and started designing menswear inspired shirt-dresses in all shapes, patterns, and fabrics . They have the vibe and feel of a man's button down, but the fit and look of something utterly comfortable and sexy. It's the best of everything. Wear them now with opaque tights and boots, and keep wearing them into Spring with sandal wedges and floppy hats.
