INSIDER TIPS: BIRTHSTONE GEMS

The idea of birthstone jewelry has always had a trinket-y connotation for me, (you remember the little rings in the vending machine at your hometown diner??) But no more... designers now work with so much color and so many semi precious stones, that there are now amazing pieces out there that will make you want to rock your stone again.

Here is a piece per month...What's your stone???

INSIDER TIPS: UNCHAINED MELODY

Yay for Friday! Hope all you 'Boozers are staying cool in this crazy heat!

I was obsessed with the chain details in Givenchy's Fall runway collection. The metallic links looked so beautiful with all of the rich jewel tone fabrics.   Since hardware detail in outerwear can get really pricey (not to mention heavy,) I think the easiest way to add this trend to your closet is with accessories.

Muse Tip:  Chain detail will elevate the luxe factor of almost anything you pair it with, but use it sparingly and limit yourself to one piece per outfit.

Givenchy's Fall RTW is SO luxurious and rich...

INSIDER TIPS: BALLET BEAUTY

Fashion designers have drawn inspiration from dance throughout history. After all, clothing is about creating beautiful lines and movement.  No type defines beauty more explicitly then ballet. You can find the influence of this elegant dance in soft blush hues, pleated chiffon, elements of tulle, and ethereal silhouettes.  Get ready to reminisce about your 1st recital....

MUSE TIP:  Let's face it, most of us aren't born with the waif-like dancer frame needed to pull off a leotard and legwarmers. But, a plunging open back or exposed collar bone can be just as sexy.  Keep the focus on your assets that you are most confident about.

Feeling inspired...

INSIDER TIPS: Enamored with Enamel

Enamel is such a timeless trend and continues to pop up season after season.  Here are some pieces that I found and loved at every price including an inspirational deep blue earring and brooch set in gold, enamel, and pearls from the metropolitan museum of art (priceless.)

Muse Tip: Check your Grandmother's jewelry box.  She is bound to have some vintage enamel jewels that are totally trendy and completely unique! Nothing is cooler than a one-of-a-kind piece that doubles as a valuable keepsake.

All of the printed bracelets from Hermes are so pretty.  I would wear one and mix with other metals I already own
